Maison & Objet Design Show - 2024
PARIS, THE PLACE TO BE
At the beginning of 2024, our team had the opportunity to attend the interior design trade fair, Maison & Objet, in Paris. The event is at the forefront of commercial design and signifies the start of a new year of industry trends. We were particularly impressed by the Light & Living stand because it is such a focal point of the exhibition and a lovely place to see accessories being implemented in different spaces. It is a great source of inspiration for our designers, and allows us to find new suppliers that work well in relation to our clients.

"Maison & Objet – the French for 'home' and 'object' – are two simple words which, together, have come to mean so much." If you know Artspace, you'll know that we pay close attention to detail when it comes to styling our show homes and keeping up with the latest trends. We picked up on lots of new trends while in Paris...these were some of our favourites:
- Organic shapes: The fluid and organic shapes of nature influencing the design of furniture, mirrors, lighting and decor, such as ceramics.
- Natural materials: Adding a sense of authenticity and earthiness to a space using natural fabrics, earthy tones and various textures. Again, a lot of these textures reflecting nature.
- Artwork: Noticing different and more unique techniques being used for artwork. Geometric 3D patterns being introduced in contemporary, yet minimalist spaces.
- Colour Palettes: In 2024, nature-inspired colour palettes are here to stay. Neutral tones that reflect nature's environment give a sense of peace, allowing designers to incorporate the beauty of the outdoors into their designs.
